Natural Desert Romance | Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes

At the beginning of November I had the chance to experience the Showit United conference for the first time.  I've been told year after year about how valuable my photographer friends view this conference to be and now I know what all the fuss was about!  This conference is designed for photographers who desire to learn from the industry leaders in business and in photography practices.  I am feeling incredibly refreshed and motivated to implement all of what I learned.  I've mentioned before how much I value learning more about my craft and will always find time to improve.  I like to think that continuous growth is the best way to serve my couples!  This particular shoot was one I was able to attend during the conference at sunrise.  I think I'm convinced that the morning light in Arizona can't be beat!  I love how soft the sun looked peaking over the mountains at the Marriott Buttes.  Special recognition goes out to all the vendors that made this shoot so beautiful!

When I get the chance to work with couples as sincere and sweet as Bernie and Ana it makes my job feel a lot less like work.  These two gorgeous people both have a heart of gold and I am so happy that you found each other.

Ana and I have known each other since high school and she has been following my work for the last three years.  When an opening for a photographer at Tre Bella where she worked came up, she gave me a call and I'm so thankful she did!  I absolutely adore doing weddings at Tre Bella and think that Kim and her team are rock stars.

Arizona Wedding Photographer | Green and Grey ReworKd Workshop

Can I just take a moment to say how much I love earth tones?!!? The crew for this ReworKd workshop put together such a beautiful set.  I am continuously impressed by the amazing vendors that I get to work with.

New Year's Eve Wedding|The Paseo

For New Year's Eve this year I had the most amazing opportunity to work with Denise Karis Photography as her second shooter.  There is no better backdrop than the gorgeous desert we have here in Arizona and the Paseo shows it off so well!  A little random fact about this wedding... the bride did all the signs herself!  Scroll down to see her amazing work.

Arizona Wedding Photographer | Moody and Mauve ReworKd workshop!

There are so many things about photographing weddings that I love.  The celebration with family and friends, the beautiful details, and of course the love that swells from the bride and groom when the day they've been dreaming of finally arrives.

Your wedding only comes once, so that's why I believe in taking time to learn and practice my skills.  This workshop was one of my favorites to date and I think it's easy to see why!  We spent the first half of the day learning from two very talented photographers, Katrina Amburgey and Ryann Lindsey, and then spent the rest of the day practicing what we learned.  They both taught us so many valuable things and I know that when the next workshop comes around I will definitely be there!  The couple in this shoot is a real couple getting married in the very near future.  Isn't it fun that they had a chance to practice being a bride and groom?  I love the passion and joy that they show.

The vendors who made this shoot so gorgeous are some of the most talented in the industry!  Click on their names below to check out their websites.

Arizona Wedding Photographer | Trevor & Emily

The more weddings I do, the more I'm realizing that I love intimate celebrations.  There is something special about sharing such an important step in your life with your closest friends and family.  Trevor and Emily had the most gorgeous wedding day, filled with thoughtful details and unending joy.  One of my favorite moments was when the bride and groom performed a song for their guests, and sang with the most radiant smiles on their faces.  Congratulations to you two, you make the most adorable family.

Mexican Boho Stylized Wedding Shoot at Tremaine Ranch

I married my husband on November 2nd 2014.  A year later I started my photography business with the camera David bought me for our first wedding anniversary ( awww ).  It didn't take me long to realize that my heart truly beats for shooting weddings.  Seeing how different and beautiful each couples' love is, makes me incredibly grateful for being able to capture their unique love story.  This was my very first time attending a styled shoot, and while this wasn't a real wedding, I still had an absolute blast photographing this very real couple in love.

I was completely blown away by the talent that put this all together!  I love being a part of a community where I am surrounded by so many amazingly creative entrepreneurs.  Secretly I wish I could have gotten married after I met them all just so I could have hired them.

Arizona Wedding Photographer | Brice & Sara

These two know how to throw a party!  Sara and Brice did an amazing job at making their wedding day unique at Inside The Bungalow.  Succulents and cacti for party favors, pie for dessert, and the perfect historical venue pulled their personalities into this day flawlessly.  I loved getting to visit with their friends and family during the reception while the dancing and laughing was at an all time high.  Congratulations to you both!
